30A – Final Reflection

1 1.  I would say the lows in this class were definitely in Week 12 `when I forgot to declare my assignments even when I submitted my assignments (a total no-brainer move). I would say the best “high” though was when I actually came up with a substantial idea for this class. I wasn’t sure if any of my ideas were going to be viable enough to turn into a business concept so when I landed on one that was it was really exciting.
2. 2.  The most formative experience would be all of the interviews I did. Interviews is something that no one can run away from and that everyone does at some point in their lives. Not only did the multiple rounds of interviews help me form better communicable skills, they also helped me to handle different personalities which is useful in any workplace.
3 3.  do think I have begun to move slightly closer to it. Being an entrepreneur is all about utilizing your resources to the best of your abilities and at times even being a little scrappy. I think I have begun to utilize my resources better but I definitely need some more practice in other departments. I need to further work on developing and appealing to my market as well as getting the initial stages of the business up and running.

4 4.  I would recommend to always, ALWAYS, make sure you know when the due dates are. They really are there to help guide you and help you to make a great idea plan. I think it is important to plan yourself out in the beginning of every week because most assignments cannot be done all on the same day. Budgeting time now also teaches you how to budget time in the future.

    Every time that I read one of my classmates posts and they highlight an instance in which they lost points for not declaring something, I have a great sense of empathy for them. The same instance happened to me and I know how frustrating it can be. I'm glad that you were able to come back from that unfortunate circumstance and make the most out of this class.     Great post. I also thought the high point of the semester was finding an idea to elaborate on throughout the rest of the semester. I think this class has enabled us to think about our lives and really show our creativeness throughout the whole semester. I agree that you should know the due dates of things and make sure that you complete all assignments for the week, and the declarations because they are what make your grade.

15A – Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 2

In these interviews, I once again saw the issue at hand/the service I am creating in a new light. Interview 1 realized that this service has the potential to unfairly distribute food to homeless shelters/food banks. His suggestion for fixing this issue was to weigh the amount of food that was being taken to each shelter to ensure that they are all getting the same amount of food in pounds. Another suggestion was to assign restaurants to shelters so the same restaurants provide food to the same places. Interview 2 brought up the fact that since consumers aren't actually paying for the service its not something the public would have to worry about in terms of finance. Lastly, Interview 3 brought up that this is very much a service that would make the public feel good about themselves since it is in turn helping the community.       1.  Microwave timers that have been left on Why it exists: People use microwaves to heat up their food, but then take their food out before the timer has rung. After removing their food, they do not cancel out the timer, and instead leave the blinking number on the microwave. 2.    Long waits for food at restaurants Why it exits: Often occurs from restaurants either being under staffed or particularly busy on a night. As a result, the food takes longer to be prepared and come to the table. 3. Holding objects in your hands Why it exists: A lack of purses, backpacks, or any vessel used to carry objects.
